Applications for those wishing to apply for the award open today, Sunday, 26 April, through the official electronic platform of the Energy Efficiency Award.
The 2026 Energy Efficiency Award cycle consists of four main stages. The first stage begins with opening the nomination window and receiving applications for approximately three months, followed by the screening and qualification stage, then the evaluation and judging stage, and finally the fourth and last stage, which is the announcement and honoring of winners during an award ceremony scheduled to be held in December, God willing.
The award targets the government sector, private sector, non-profit sector, as well as individuals, through three main tracks. The first track focuses on efficiency and conservation, where the award is granted to entities that have implemented sustainable initiatives to improve energy efficiency and achieved measurable energy savings within their facilities.
The second track is dedicated to development and innovation, awarding the best developmental or innovative idea that has contributed to enhancing energy efficiency levels. The third track focuses on awareness and impact, granting the award to initiatives that have effectively raised public awareness about energy efficiency and the importance of rationalizing energy consumption.
The Energy Efficiency Award aims to highlight the importance of improving energy efficiency as a key enabler for preserving natural resources and supporting sustainable growth. This is achieved by encouraging sectors and organizations to adopt best practices in energy efficiency, leverage successful experiences, and promote research and innovation in the field of energy efficiency among both institutions and individuals.
