Spreading awareness in mosques

The number of mosques in the KSA are about 100.000 and annual electricity consumption is about 700 million SAR, which meaning that cost of mosques expenditure for electric energy per month exceeds 58 million SAR, so mosques consume more than 1.944.000 SAR of electricity per day, this cost is very high and beyond the rationalization, as mosques do not actually operate except five times a day and for certain times.

Therefore, the Center has focused to coordinate with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance to raise awareness of the importance of rationalizing energy consumption, raising its efficiency among imams, preachers and muezzins in all mosques in KSA by sustainable awareness-raising programs and activities that will reduce consumption in the future.
