Signing MoU Between SEEC and the National Center for Waste Management
Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (Kafaah) signed today at its headquarters a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Center for Waste Management (MWAN) with the aim of cooperation and partnership between the two parties to achieve best practices in implementing waste management programs and plans and the recycling of e-waste resulting therefrom, while confirming the commitment to legislative requirements according to the obligations of each party. The MoU was signed by Dr. Abdullah bin Faisal Al-Sebai, CEO of the National Center for Waste Management, and Mr. Nasser bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, SEEC’s Director General. According to the memorandum, MWAN assumes reviewing and approving SEEC’s initiatives, related to waste management after studying its appropriateness and alignment with the comprehensive strategic plan, while providing SEEC with a list of licensees approved to practice waste management activities as well as sharing the approved technical controls and requirements for waste management activities. From its part, SEEC, when dealing with recycling companies licensed by the National Center for Waste Management, urges those companies to comply with SEEC’s procedures and the relevant authorities in using the recycled materials and benefiting from them as much as possible, with coordination and alignment according to the regulations and procedures followed when implementing the plans and programs of waste management.
