SEEC Holds Workshop on Developing Human Capabilities in Energy Efficiency

The Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC) held a workshop in Riyadh titled “Human Capacity Development in Energy Efficiency.” The event was attended by licensed training centers, specialized trainers in energy efficiency, and various stakeholders.
The workshop aimed to highlight SEEC’s role in developing human capacities in the field of energy efficiency through several initiatives and projects. These included the integration of energy efficiency curricula into educational institutions, benefiting more than 2,400 students by the end of 2024, in addition to implementing professional training programs in energy management, auditing, measurement, and verification since 2015, which have certified over 1,100 trainees by the end of 2024.
The workshop also shed light on SEEC’s initiative to accredit non-degree training programs in energy efficiency, emphasizing their importance in achieving the Center’s strategic goals and how licensed training centers can benefit from this initiative. Furthermore, discussions addressed methods of qualifying and developing trainers to enhance the quality of training in this vital sector.
