Energy Efficiency Center Achieves 91% Improvement in Energy Product Conformity Index for 2024

As part of its continuous efforts to enhance energy efficiency and ensure product compliance, the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC) announced a remarkable improvement of 91% in the conformity index for energy efficiency products in 2024. This achievement was made in collaboration with relevant government entities working to support national sustainability goals.

SEEC confirmed that its oversight efforts led to the implementation of 24 comprehensive inspection rounds in markets and warehouses throughout the year.

During these rounds, energy efficiency products were examined and reviewed to ensure they met approved Saudi standards and specifications.

 The 91% improvement in the conformity index reflects SEEC’s ongoing collaboration with its partners to ensure product quality and achieve the highest performance standards in energy consumption efficiency.

SEEC also indicated that these inspection campaigns resulted in the identification of over 2.3 million non-compliant products that did not meet Saudi energy efficiency standards and specifications. Corrective actions were taken accordingly.

SEEC emphasized that these results are part of a comprehensive inspection and oversight system aimed at boosting consumer confidence and ensuring the availability of high-quality energy efficiency products. The Saudi Energy Efficiency Center is continuously working to develop its inspection and oversight mechanisms, as well as raise community awareness about the importance of choosing products that conform to specifications.
