SEEC Honors Winners of the Energy Efficiency Award 2025

The Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC) celebrated yesterday evening (Wednesday) the winners of the first edition of the Energy Efficiency Award 2025. The ceremony was held at Prince Sultan Hall in Al Faisaliah Hotel, Riyadh, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Energy and Chairman of SEEC’s Board of Directors.
The ceremony was attended by a number of distinguished officials, representatives of government, private, and non-profit entities, as well as professionals and stakeholders in the field of energy efficiency. During the event, His Excellency Mr. Nasser Al-Ghamdi, Director General of SEEC, honored the winners across the three main award tracks: Efficiency and Conservation, Development and Innovation, and Awareness and Impact.
Mr. Al-Ghamdi stated that recognizing outstanding national efforts in energy efficiency is an essential step toward strengthening initiatives and programs that support sustainable development in the Kingdom. He affirmed that the “Energy Efficiency Award,” launched this year under the theme “Rewarding Efficiency,” aims to encourage and motivate efforts and initiatives that contribute to achieving national targets in this vital and strategic field.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, eight winners representing the award’s categories were honored. In the Efficiency and Conservation track, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques won in the government sector category; Saudi Methanol Company (AR-RAZI) won in the private sector category; and the Saudi Arabian Drilling Academy (SADA) won in the non-profit sector category, in recognition of their distinguished efforts in improving energy consumption efficiency and achieving sustainable savings.
In the Development and Innovation track, Al-Hiyad for Industry (Fibni) was awarded for presenting innovative and impactful solutions that contributed to enhancing energy efficiency performance.
In the Awareness and Impact track, the Board of Grievances received the award for the government sector category; Sadara Chemical Company won in the private sector category; and the Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency (CEEE) won in the non-profit sector category, in recognition of their effective initiatives in promoting awareness and encouraging positive behaviors toward energy efficiency. Dr. Hussein bin Mohammed Basi was also honored in the community and individual category for his influential awareness articles that contributed to raising public understanding of the importance of responsible consumption.
