SEEC Joins Al-Ithnainiyah in Dammam to Promote Energy Efficiency

The Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC), as part of the national energy ecosystem, took part in the weekly “Al-Ithnainiyah” session held at the Emirate Of Eastern Province in Dammam, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Energy.
SEEC presented an overview of its national efforts in the field of energy efficiency, including flagship initiatives and awareness programs targeting government entities, the private sector, and the wider community. The presentation also highlighted the Center’s role in human capacity development through specialized training programs and internationally recognized certifications designed to empower national professionals with best practices in energy management.
HRH the Governor commended the unwavering support of the Saudi leadership for the energy sector, emphasizing that enhancing the efficiency of the electricity system is a cornerstone of economic growth, improved services, and quality of life. He also stressed the importance of sustainability and integrated efforts among stakeholders to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Eng. Raed Al-Shuniber, Deputy Minister of Energy for Electricity Affairs, delivered a presentation on the Ministry’s strategic roadmap for the electricity sector, which is built on principles of efficiency, sustainability, and diversification. He expressed his gratitude to HRH the Governor for his support, affirming the Ministry’s commitment to advancing the energy system, diversifying sources, reducing emissions, and supporting sustainable development.
SEEC’s participation in the “Al-Ithnainiyah” session reflects its mission to showcase its national role in enabling energy efficiency programs and raising public awareness, thereby contributing to more efficient energy use across the Kingdom.
