Land Transportation Sector

The transportation sector accounts for approximately 20% of the Kingdom's total primary energy consumption. In collaboration with relevant authorities, SEEC has implemented several initiatives aimed at improving fuel economy in imported light vehicles, while also monitoring the progress of the Saudi Arabia Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) objectives. Efforts in the land transport sector focus on enhancing the energy efficiency of both light duty vehicles (LDVs) and heavy duty vehicles (HDVs), as well as improving the energy efficiency of vehicle tires.
